About Los Flamingos Golf Resort
Los Flamingos Golf Resort, located on what is now known as the New Golden Mile, came to Mc Inerney’s attention as a suitable location for developing their next set of projects on the Costa del Sol. The resort is nestled just behind the tiny Spanish village of Cancelada, a well serviced typical Spanish pueblo, with access to all local amenities such as shops, schools, restaurants and public transport. Just nine minutes from Puerto Banus and 15 minutes from Marbella, with quick access to the main road N340, which is vital for getting about the Costa and of course a quick link to the Toll Road which delivers you to Malaga Airport in under 40 minutes.
Within the urbanisation the Resort Developers are constructing four different of golf courses with facilities which have played host the PGA Tour three years in a row. The resort also is home to one of the most spectacular hotels Spain has ever seen, the only Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marbella the Villa Padierna and Spa, with a five star rating.
The hotel is the main focal point of the Resort, reminiscent of an ancient Tuscan Palace in all its glory, adorned with paintings, Greek and Roman style sculptures and classic furniture which has been selected from all over the world (see images included) personally by the owner Ricardo Arranz. The Hotel is beyond words and no verbal description will ever do it justice, it simply has to be experienced to be believed. So amazing is this hotel that the Financial Times June 2005 rated it 7th place as one of the most spectacular and luxurious hotels in the world, ranking it with the likes of the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.
The Spa alone is another world, so if you are not a golfer then this is still the perfect place for you to hide after a few hours by the pool, or a day at the beach club. The pool area is also just as spectacular as the rest of the hotel, adorned with Palms trees as well as and other exotic plants and flowers. Other facilities at the hotel include a café, restaurants, bars, a golfing shop, caddy masters, golf academy, driving range, a tennis club and beach club, and coming soon, two more golf courses to choose from, making Los Flamingos one of the largest Golf Resorts in Spain. Babbling fountains and streams run throughout the courtyard which leads you to the pool area, guarded by ancient warriors statues, no corner is left untouched, each area is as important as the next, ball rooms and banqueting halls, a Chapel, and amphitheatre, all add to the magical dream that this hotel has to offer.
Los Flamingos Golf Resort is one of the busiest and most sought after on the Costa, with perfect golfing facilities which include changing rooms and a cosy golfer’s bar to have a quick snack before setting out to play a good round with friends. Never has such a complete service been offered before.
